This would be interesting given that many on here have stated that the parking in Coldean was a) legal and b) no worse than what was happening already.
Wow was it you who achieved all these things? Didn't know you were such a visionary. I must too sign up for a job in the former nationalised industry as that clearly is the way to go. Being small minded, vindictive a petty doesn't seem a barrier so I should fit in well.
By the way I had a rail...
Depends whether or not you drive further to get to coldean. Or the.impact of those vehicles in a residential area. Or perhaps that you are mixing up two arguments. One about impact to residents and one about sustainability and therefore missing the point.
Now if I was sticking the knife in I would have called you a disgrace, a weasel, a hypocrite or an ahead. But I'm not going to.
If you want to claim you will cycle there is a simple way to do this and that is to..... urm..... cycle! And when you hand over your voucher at the bike park and maybe...
I know you have a track record of ignoring things that don't suit your agenda but there are as.has been.demonstrated on here, numerous ways to cover off cyclists and live nearby walkers.
But as has been covered (to death) in this thread there are mechanisms that can and should be put in place for local residents and cyclists. For everybody else I think the fee will and should be included in the ticket price.
This I would love to see. You'll lose of course, but I'd love to see it. If they choose to sell the tickets with voucher included, there is nothing on God's green earth that you can pin your hopes on to complain about in legal terms.
I suspect that they will not check onboard the lewes or brighton to falmer trains but may stop people boarding without the voucher if they could get round the logistics of checking. That may well be the agreement they will have with the club. The buses which on rare occasions have checked have...
The club will end up paying for the consultation not the residents. Its not a stealth tax - it wast at withdean and it isnt now.
Its not southern who are losing - they will get paid on an assessment of people who have used the trains (they have assessed the numbers already). It will be the...
That's okay - your £30 will go towards the cost of the consultation the coldean residents now want and to help encourage other people amongst the new 8000 not to use that area in future so as to avoid making your 25 minutes walk a 40 minute one.
Everyone's a winner
As I said earlier. It's not difficult to resolve by basis of location or use of bike rack. At the moment the its not fair people are the ones who bought vouchers and don't see the benefit in having done so.
There are a number of missed tricks around the transport.
Firstly the vouchers. Any scheme which is seen as optional and non enforced will see those who do adhere, feeling let down when others don't.
I do support mandatory vouchers. It is possible to not penalise pedestrians and cyclists. By...
