Advice on playing old video files
As per Joey above, VLC, plays almost anything and it's FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and if you make it your default media player for everything the sight of orange cones everywhere is most therapeutic. For converting, I use Corel- Prince Monolulu
