I go to loads of gigs and it is rarely a problem. As you say, most grab a couple of photos or short vids, but when you see a sea of mobile phones it is noticeable in its rarity. I don’t know if it’s a generational thing - possibly, there was a lot of filmage going on at Easy Life and Mahalia...

It was just brilliant. I’m battered and bruised from the mosh pit. I’m probably too old for this sort of behaviour.

Cucamaras were excellent at The Great Escape. Unfortunately they clash with Gruff Rhys, who we have to see. If you haven't seen CVC yet, I hugely recommend that you see them!

Just back. Needed a couple of pints to debrief after that. Incredible. Theatrical. Just a superb gig by a band at the top of their powers. To coin a phrase. Wow.

Lovely stuff. Jim Bob now also booked, as well as Yard Act next March at The Dome. 🙂

I’ve got Barry Can’t Swim instore at Resident, Young Fathers, Mutations Festival , Deadletter, Bob Vylan and Opus Kink coming up. So far. It’s been a busy year, gig-wise.

Couldn’t go last night as I am away, but saw their instore at Resident a few weeks ago where they were also magnificent. I have tickets for their December show at The Concorde. I am very excited by this band.

Yes, my son was at Hak Baker and said that it was one of the best gigs he’s seen - and he sees a lot of gigs. I was a big Maccabees fan, so it was just lovely to see the White brothers back on stage in 86TVs. Time will tell whether they ‘grab’ me. Heading to town soon - no real plan today, but...

Stone, 86TVs, Divorce, Luka State and The Murder Capital at the beach yesterday was a brilliant evening. All very good indeed. Finished with Skinner at Latest which was also fun.

Deadletter are excellent live -saw them at the Hope last year. I’ll have to sit down and make my wish list this weekend. Friday, though, is all about the beach as I, too, will definitely be going to see The Murder Capital.
