Townsend was indeed excellent. A real surprise to me, and to many others I would imagine.
I think Walcott could successfully play up front, and would be a substantial improvement on Wellbeck.
Wouidn't it be boring if we all thought the same thing?
I thought Wellbeck was abysmal tonight - an absolute waste of space.
I also think that Walcott would be a massive improvement.

Can't agree - he's had enough shots, he just misses most of them. He scored 4 goals in the campaign - 2 at home to San Marino, 2 in Moldova. When the opposition gets a bit tougher he tends to look out of his depth - a bit like poor old Crouch used to. Crouch scored a lot more goals though...
That band dissuades some of those that would sing from even going. So they have a lot to answer for. I think the atmosphere would be infinitely better without them.
