The force of touch is relevant because, if the ball significantly deviates then it is ‘clearly’ won, and the follow through becomes less relevant.
All frustrating, but parking this discussion, can I just say the ref and linesman had an absolute nightmare in that first half.

I called pen immediately, however when you slow it down Lamptey’s touch was stronger than I first thought….
Not enough ultimately to warrant it being overturned though.
