We had a player called Will Buckley, he was quick (not Olympic quick like Lamptey), and his hamstrings were an issue as well. Some put it down to the Amex pitch which I’m told is quite firm.

Can’t remember the game, just remember him struggling positionally. I agree it was one-off, but throw away or not if you fail with the basics, it’s not a great start. Not the worst suggestion but why not play to the strengths of your better players?

I know we don’t always agree on football issues, but I do respect your opinion - do you rate Naylor then? Just feel he doesn’t offer too much that people aren’t aware of already, though I’m not on Twitter so basing my opinion on The Athletic.
