I agree. It just struggle with his involvement. He may well be respected at Charlton and Yeovil, but so far his comments are repetitive to say the least, his ability to 'spot' a player remains questionable as well.
The worrying thing is, I have a feeling Oscar will be gone at the end of the...
The difference with Stephens is, despite his early shortcomings in terms of retaining possession. His ability to get on the ball and be available is actually very good. With Stephens I think he is trying too hard......
But if you haven't got the nous in the first place, you will never have it. It doesn't just happen.
However, training matches and matches are played in a tight compact situation, with first team squad players (I'm sure Spurs wouldn't let him come to train with the reserves) rotating on a...
I realise the point you are making, however.......
Do you not think Obika trains with his teammates all week? Movement into open space and basic control are not rocket science, nor should they be beyond the limits of a professional footballer.
Re Conway - Other than one may be two games...
Don't agree at all. Even someone playing 177 mins, should have a degree of ability. His touch is woeful, his body shape is wrong when he receives a ball - which allows defenders to come in from the side, he plays on his heels. There is so much wrong, and these are things that match sharpness...
To be fair, I should have originally said worst forward......
Tilts was comfortably better than Obika, scored at Championship level and was playing in a poor team.
Stapleton, still had a degree of intelligent movement - not a lot more though
McCammon, once held the ball up, something Obika...
IMO Tilts and Baird were much better. Tilts scored at the level we are currently in, Obika struggles to even know which direction to run in. Baird was workmanlike but at least had a touch.
I have followed Brighton for nearly 40 years and I honestly do believe he is one of the worst players I have seen, the touch when he sent himself wide was embarrassing for a professional. Utter rubbish......,
Nathan Jones cannot spot a player.
