I do wonder if part of the issue with motorists seemingly hating cyclists is that cyclists always look dour and aloof, and those that don't cycle probably don't realise that this is normally because they're ****ing knackered, rather than anything else.

Quite - surely the definition of a queue is where traffic is moving slower than it otherwise would be due to other traffic. In most urban areas free flowing traffic will be going at 30/40mph and therefore it's pretty unlikely that it's going to be undertaken by cyclists (except perhaps...
