What you have to consider is not just the few who take advantage of the benefit system but those thousands who through myriad reasons are basically incapable of organising their own lives, cannot fill out forms, do not mentally understand what is required of them.
I know someone who used to be...
The only reason I can imagine is the Baby boomers looking out for themselves again.
The baby boomer generation had the best of everything, they are spoilt really so not their fault. They got the freedoms of winning a war without having to fight, very affordable, decent housing, an amazing...
I don't think I'm being a sore loser ( I don't vote labour anyway) but it concerns me that at this stage in the 21st century we are still voting in outdated, cruel, uncaring governments like the Tories. Something is seriously, seriously wrong.
I quite warmed to Milliband nearing the vote, he reminded me of a supply teacher on the last day of term, was kind of up for anything knowing he wouldn't be around to suffer the fallout. Watch a video of Russell Brand? Sure why not?
Quite right. I think this was a huge dilemma for folks. No party that had a chance of government offered a solution that would work. The country is economically shafted. From an ideological standpoint, yes I'd have preferred labour but would they have fixed us? Doubt it.
Not a bit of it. We al know the voting system, Tory's got in fair and square under the existing system. I couldn't change that even if I wanted to. I just happen to think it will be very bad for the country.
And the Australians I mentioned. I mean it makes sense I would be at these meetings, seeing as I met these people. It's cool man, I know it's not a popular opinion, possibly quite xenophobic and wrong but every One of the I've met has spent the entire time trying to blah free cigs/ beers/ food/...
I've just never met a white Australian that I liked except for the barmaid with the big wobblers who gave me a blowy by the bins behind the bins at the back of The Kings Arms in Dorking on her tea break. And I didn't like her much.
Not bad losers, just a bit more savvy than Tory voters and can see what way the country is headed.
Now of you'll excuse me I've just got to go and ask the Turkeys what we should have for Christmas dinner.
