No-one is saying that work is demeaning at all, what they are saying is that it shouldn't be forced labour. Besides, it not the average man on the street that finds those jobs demeaning, it's the council's who come up with the appalling wages for them!

The sad fact is that if someone intends never to work, they will never work. They're probably unemployable by that point anyway. We have a welfare system. it will get abused by the minority. The vast majority of people on benefits will get back to work or have genuine resaons they cannot work...
