    I haven't seen Inglorious Basterds yet but for me it was the Kill Bill films that were silly. I know homage and over-the-top violence is his thing but that scene where the Bride fends off about 200 Ninjas with at least 60% being dismembered or beheaded was just ridiculous.

    Its a good film in a number of ways, its just the over-indulgent length of the piece that marks it down for me. I think in part it's reputation is enhanced by the then ground-breaking special effects.

    Surely every self-respecting Tarantino fan knows that :thumbsup: In fact it wasn't just the Bible he lifted it from, the version delivered in Pulp Fiction is almost word for word from Karate Kiba, a 1973 Japanese martial arts film, which had the quote placed at the start of the US release...

    Twenty years to the day since it's US release. The UK première came a week later. A modern classic if ever there was one with so many memorable scenes. The final scene still blows me away:
