indeed Alex, Alex... don't forget the Dexter Terrace Chablis swilling sessions with Lenham and Waring (I hate to think how much has been squandered in that fashion). And people wonder why we struggle so much to hold our own in the top flight of domestic cricket... :thud:
I agree. Probably why Gus Mackay says we can't afford the new development at the Sea End anymore - he's spent all the Cama money on bribing our opponents...
genius :lolol::lolol: I know it's crazy talk but maybe if he can somehow turn it round then you'll be able to open up new sections of the meter as required - but I think for now that should just about cover it... if he get's dropped to the 2nd XI will you count those wickets?
on current progress he would get about 25 I think - as he normally improves in the second half of the season, maybe 30 would be sensible... it is a very sad state of affairs to see him so impotent (maybe he should retire and just coach Will Beer?)
I am finding this very hard to believe, but I suppose that's the beauty of sport...
Notts will be absolutely gutted if they lose to a team with no opening batsmen and no opening bowlers.
You make a very good point Simster... given our start to the season it should be a realistic aim to at least make sure this game reaches the final day and then we can try and build from there.
In passing, (as another 4 crashes into the boundary boards) have we EVER fielded a weaker attack than...
Highly dubious LBW upheld against Mal Loye at Derby - but it's normal service really as Lancs continue to dominate their opposition while we flounder hopelessly...
last roll of the dice - Mushy
indeed - as Dollymore gets pulled away by Voges for 4 more runs...
(2 of the 4 Notts batsmen were strangled by legside rubbish from the Sussex bowlers - they can't expect to keep taking wickets like that but don't expect the penny to drop with this mob...)
Wright was bloody lucky that old "cymbals" Prior managed to hold onto one.
Notts will probably decide to stop messing about now and start to knock the runs off - depending on results elsewhere I guess we will be in the relegation zone after this round of matches?
diving catch from Hoppo... it is what he's in the team for after all
Notts are taking the piss by not bothering to win by 10 wickets - I guess they'll start trying a bit harder now
Oh dear- Notts making steady progress towards the INADEQUATE target we managed to set... Only hope is Mushy refinding his form but I suspect this may be a season too many for him :nono:
