Local or not it doesn't matter.
A lot of his appearances have been flakey this season and he has to prove to doubters that he can cope at this level. The odd cameo dribble is not enough.
Those of us who went to Huddersfield and West Brom know that these are the sort of performances that have to improve next season. We let ourselves down badly and failed to compete against moderate opposition. You cannot just rely on a strong home record. It may not be so strong next season. We...
Still feel the player has to appear above it and stay in control. He is not the first player to have abuse directed at him. My God, NSC is quite calm compared to some other sites.
Number one priority next season is to keep the ball better. We have done remarkably well considering how many poor touches and misplaced passes accompany most games. Its testament to the spirit in the squad but we must improve.
Liverpool fired up at home and pouring forward are just about the most frightening prospect in the PL. They are not so hot defensively but you've got to keep possesssion and put pressure on them.

Our home performances are chalk and cheese compared to those on our travels.
Lets be honest, we have generally been awful away and turned in some abject performances. Its all about attitude and how the team is set up.
In the PL you need good, solid defensive fullbacks. Players who can force players onto their weaker sides. Players who can stop crosses coming in. Players who are not often caught out of position. Players who can defend either post and players who are reasonably good in the air.
