No careful about it, I replied to the OP with some suggestions for ugly dull towns.

South Lancing really is.

All of these along with Crowborough, Ringmer, Southwick, Fishersgate and Lancing.

Hailsham farmers market is a big drawer, if you want some livestock I should imagine?

Stockport is a dump, but more ugly is Dukinfield and Stalybridge in Manchester.

We should really have a definitive poll.

Bracknell gets my vote. Horley is also insanely dull.
