Inferring that the vast majority of members of an organization hold the same view as those of a tiny minority of those with outlandish ones is indeed a smear. Rather like inferring that the Liberal Democrats are full of morbidly obese paedophiles or the Labour party is full of cocaine snorting...
I would have thought the point was obvious. But for the feeble minded a quick clarification. UKIP has been consistently smeared as "racist" against black and Asian people. Therefore, citing the fact that a number of people from those communities are standing for UKIP would seem to counteract...

Of course they do, the three old gang parties to be sure. That's why both the left wing press (The Mirror) and the right wing press (The Daily Mail) both run daily smears against the party that is threatening to upset the cosy little world the establishment parties have taken for granted.
