I agree there would be no direct infantry confrontation as per the cold war. Would the Americans actually act upon Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty if those 150,000 walked into the Baltic states though?
Versus 150,000 infantry the Russian side of the border, who can all be mobilised in 3 days. I read it would take NATO 3 months to mobilise a similar number.
I always wondered as well what the 4 battalions of NATO troops in the Baltic and Poland are actually going to do if 150,000 Russian Infantry invaded. ???
