NSCers seem reluctant to criticise Dunk on anything. I kind of get that, even though I don't enact it.

I haven't re-watched it, but he guessed the right way (not sure he's managed that too many times) although didn't commit to it. Which might be another way of saying, even when he guesses right, he doesn't execute it appropriately.

It's the rules. And therefore players have to adapt to the rules. You may not like the rules (not so sure I do). And it isn't VAR that needs to run drills. The ref body might but, on the whole, I'm in favour of rule changes that encourage attacking play.
