Tis. Can't wait for the new album, the last one made it into my top two last year. I only discovered it this year, but Artifacts by Black Flower runs it close:

Thanks for today's offerings. Will check out, but I've got to dash up to London now. On a (slightly) different note, Bedouine got a rave live review by Kitty Empire. Have you posted on her before?
I've just returned to A Moon-Shaped Pool having given it a modest outing on release. The Mrs and I were particularly struck by two Radiohead festival gigs this summer -- Glastonbury and T in the Park -- and they seemed to have played virtually all of their new album at the latter. It's so much...
Got three CDs yesterday:
new/old Neil Young -- you'd think what's not to like about NY in the mid-70s (which is when it was recorded), and indeed it's cracking, mostly acoustic. I may be corrected on this point, but about half the tracks are unreleased, whereas the other five or so have...
Surprised you haven't heard off FB before. Great live, especially if you can see them in a low-ceilinged room, that heightens the assault on your senses.

I also can't pretend to listen to much new music, but these are the ones that I've particularly liked this year:
Laura Marling -- Semper Femina
Idles -- Brutalism
Thurston Moore -- Rock n Roll Consciousness
Richard Dawson -- Peasant
Max Richter -- Three Worlds: Music from Woolf Works
Binker &...
After their Glastonbury set which was described in the only review I've read as 'divisive' (it was stunning in my view), I've given NOTOK a few spins, and am really enjoying it, with Meeting in the Aisle (a nod to their then future) and Pearly (a nod to their then past) as the stand-out tracks...
I'm new to him, so can't comment on either. I have noted that you indicated that two of his gigs featured in the top two of your year, and a friend who is well-versed in such things said the same about one of them. Can't wait for the gig.
