So where would that leave us if every player called up to the England team had that attitude? " This lot don't pay my wages so I'm not too fussed ". I think we'd prefer every player to be 100% on it so we could win a major tournament.
Very much this! Have people seen how Arteta is on the touch line? How do you imagine he is in training if someone is not putting the effort in or is not focussed? Does it go like this " come on little Bensy just for me do it nicely this time and open those little earsy wearsies "? Like feck does...
Entirely my point! He's quite well rewarded for perhaps putting up with a bit of lad bantz, the occasional telling off from your boss and the monotony of the travelling and living out of suitcase that a footballers life can bring.
I think a lot of people on here are cutting him way too much...
Oh bless him! I can't help thinking a lot of the sympathies on here are skewed by his connection to us. What happens if Walker gets injured and/or we need cover at right back and the form player is nowhere to be seen. Will people be quite so sympathetic?
Personally, I think he's much better...
I think it would be fair to say Sky have made their mind up and think they are being clever by hinting at it in the interview I saw today. It was pretty unfunny.
