f***ing bollocks! He said they wouldn't PANIC if they lost a few games because they then had the courage and fight to go out and win the next time. He was PRAISING the attitude of the club and its players!
You are a depressing clown running down your club at every opportunity, even when...
If you really don't think McGhee is under pressure right now, I dread to think what Chilean General's torture you would put him through.
The guy is at his wit's end at the moment trying to get blood out of a stone. The current job he's got is probably the hardest he's ever had in football, and...
You see no difference fighting a relegation in TIER FIVE to one in tier 2? :lolol:
What bright young managers are there in Conference South we should be looking at? That bloke at Lewes has done well! :D
Cambridge, Leicester, Palace, Norwich, West Brom, the Gills, Rushden, Brighton, Northampton, Coventry, Peterborough, Watford, Swindon.
13 clubs in just over 5 years.
Might be a clue?
Interesting that the Sports Argus yesterday said we were outbid by Swansea for Fallon.
They couldn't have done that a couple of years ago. Everything changes when you have the revenue streams from a new stadium.
It depends how well the club could sell the potential of "our" product, and I think they would have a very good one to sell given the complete uniqueness of a state-of-the-art stadium targeting a potential market of 1 million people in the south.
The exposure their product would get at a...
You overstate your case, businesses and fans would want to associate themselves with a club doing well in tier 3 as much as one hanging on to grim life in tier 2, there are numerous examples of that, the current one being Swansea who have exprienced massive crowd growth at the Liberty. They are...
:thud:
In the Sheffield Utd programme, Dick Knight stated the club operated on one-sixth of the average budget of a tier 2 team.
One-sixth of one of the mid-table teams!
Err....no. The Spurs fan might have alerted our management to the Spurs reserve, and credit to him, but he has since been watched a number of times and it's only after that are we trying to sign him.
I would seriously call for McGhee's sacking if he signed players on Kinky's, yours, or my say-so :)
Would it genuinely shock you if I told you that even my rugby team with no history whatsoever in Reading averages 11,000 for league games.
Just a few seasons ago, we struggled to get 4,000 into our "real" home of Sunbury. Playing in the same league.
The difference is entirely down to offering...
Re: Re: Re: Re: f*** Off McGhee
We have endless, endless examples of those kind of players going to the clubs in tier 2 with far better set-ups. I really don't know how many more examples you want.
Believe it - some of us can see the obvious that scapegoating an excellent manager like McGhee, given the awful circumstances he has to work under, would be utter suicide.
