Why not do an auction on here first so you have a minimum then offer them up on the night? Say at least £20 above the bid on here in order to sell to a punter on the night? Just a thought?
Well if it's an auction I will start bidding at £50 on all 3. Actually, I'll start with £75 bid on the Savage one just to annoy Dave.
(Sorry, said I wasn't going to post again but I hope I can be let off for this)
Let's be honest, you can't really can you? :lolol:
In all seriousness though, US you are doing a great job and everyone is aware of how much time you give up for the cause, this is not in question and this thread is in no way a criticism of you or your work. I've said everything I wanted to on...
Who do you think is going to apply to play then? The same people as now plus maybe another 10 or 15 who have not felt able to up until now. How will that be 11 strangers? Ridiculous argument quite frankly. And anyway, so what if you don't know a few people on your CHARITY team?
You are...
I thought the spirit of the REMF was about inclusion? Giving under-privilaged kids the chance to get involved in sport and their local communities. Having an REMF team of players that exclude new entrants regardless of ability on the pitch, in fundraising or in general helping out smacks of...
Why do you keep talking about strangers and fat bankers? This is about regular NSC posters who are actually good at football who will raise more money for REMF then the current incumbants. I really fail to see how raising this point can be described as "petty squabbling" or a "binfest".
Is this a charity or a kick about for mates? One of the best players last year raised as much money as everyone else in the squad put together, he is asked to get raising money again this year and then he is not included in the squad. I don't want this argument to centre on that individual, but...
If the main point of the REMF game isn't to raise money (as stated earlier by Ritchie on this thread and seconded by others involved) then I feel a bit of a tit for donating. Added to that, because I am sponsoring a player who isn't even in the squad now, I am tempted to ask you for my money...
OK fair play. Sorry don't mean to sound overly negative, all money raised is a very good effort. I'd have bid for them as i go to the emirates a fair bit but couldn't pick up/ return as required. One of the problems with modern season tickets unfortunately.
Where was this auction held? Sorry I don't want to sound negative but you could have sold those tickets to an agency for twice that on one phone call.
Going back to the "binfest". The only person getting hot under the collar Ritchie is you, the rest of us would just like to see the REMF pot as...
Sorry to poke my oar in, just trying to understand. In previous years I have donated without actually looking into it at all. What you say above makes perfect sense to me in terms of maximising income which is the whole point right?
