Amazing to think how well we've done with our first choice centre backs being out of the team for so long. Not only has Goldson stepped in so effortlessly but he has also filled the boots of our club captain - pure class and maturity beyond his years.

I think CH will see his increasingly dodgy limbs a liability to the team. Is it twice that he's left the field this season with an injury?

I was worried at the start of the season when he wasn't even getting on the bench, but what a great example of taking your opportunity...shows great character in a player.

And why not. Cahill for example was on loan to Sheffield Utd at the age of 23 with half the appearances Goldson has chalked up in the same time.

And all this after only 2 years from when he cemented his place in the Shrewsbury team.....to then soon become captain, scores 7 goals in a season and wins various awards. A year younger than Duncan at 23, it doesn't get better....well probably but I have a good feeling about our Connor.

This guy was fourth choice until very recently and now for me first. I spoke to some Shewsbury mates and did some research on this fella and my he hasn't disappointed. This chap has a massive future ahead of him :drool:
