If you hit the private market ..surely you need to do something about the availability of 'social housing' first ..I seem to remember reading some when over the last year about Housing Association funding being cut.
I'm not so sure its inevitable....you might get some more riots if they don't sort out youth unemployment/inner city housing etc..but most of us will be barricaded behind our front doors until the every shrinking police force sorts it out with the Army (whats left of it) mopping up

or a new party evolving (no not UKIP) promising a revolution in the way things are done.

I wonder how successful this new Help to buy ISA will be ..maximum 3k ..perhaps there should be a regional variation.
Hopefully it will be more successful than a government initiative such as Child Trust Funds

Bit disappointed they haven't increased the NI thresholds...the big headline over the last few years has been the personal allowance having been pushed to 10k and beyond...with Osbourne championing people paying no tax...but national insurance is still a fair whack and apart from sorting out...
