Why would I make it up, what would be the point? You constantly blaming brexit for every ill in the world is counter productive.

We also have thousands ready to start working but can’t due to no passes. We HAD the best aviation industry, we don’t anymore Routes have been slashed due to starting again or transferring some flights to cargo to make money.

As are the other reasons why there are world wide shortages, but you never mention those :D

I bet the same people over here screaming about a flight being cancelled are the same people screaming the airlines were just collateral damage and didn’t matter two years ago.

And that’s working out great for them, as it is USA/Australia/Canada etc etc. What would help more is if the government sorted out the ID pass situation. My old company has over 500 staff waiting for airside pass clearance.

Not really, its out in the open about what they wanted to do.

So we had a meeting yesterday (obviously one sided and bias) but it was explained to us part of the reasons its such a mess is the complete mess over issuing security passes (Govs fault) there and hundreds ready to start and the delay on these passes is stopping that - Which Airlines/Airports...

Hotels are failing as well, which doubles the issue.

Then you simply can not complain about cancellations and delays due to it having start up issues. In fact plenty were calling for even less support and for airlines to just fail, I wonder how many of those people are now moaning.

Who was going to pay for all the staff with reduced income to the business ? Just out of interest was it a MP that voted pushed for more restrictions What would have helped was actually dialogue between the two parties, Airports/Airlines tried to sort this all, but got ignore.

Visas are not an issue for airlines Easy jet employees people across Europe (Austrian company now?!?) Other countries are having issues, none of these have Brexit - Emirates/Delta/Air Canada struggling to hire.

Airlines were losing millions a day in some cases, with absolutely no end in sight I think I read somewhere it costs about $500 an hour to park a plane, BA have about 220 !!! Our aviation industry compared to others across the globe got very little support.

To put a number on it - Virgin postponed 500 crew training for 2/3/4 months in Dec. So worst case you would have had them all trained by April. Countries got black listed and others added more testing, the airlines did the right thing for them.
