Given the Gov performance, do you trust them not to feck this up?

COBRA meeting tomorrow The mutation news has caused utter carnage, I’ve spent the afternoon getting figures together for the Gov on plane loads. I think there will be a lot of scientists hoping they are right about it given the fall out.

People will become more desperate as it goes on if there isn’t mile stones out, I didn’t agree with the free for all for Christmas - but we’ve seen what happened yesterday when people were desperate - crowding on trains etc. The Gov have had months to work out the route out with Vaccine, Vague...

There seems to be zero urgency in jabbing people here. Where is the road map out of this? If it’s a case of everyone needed to be vaccinated I’m showing as sept 21 due to my (correct) placing. People claiming March/April are in for a shock.

I am not against masks, but its completely different.

Do they re-use single use masks? Do they stuff them in pockets/bags? Do they use scarfs/T-Shirts? If they are doing that, I think you have a point on asking.

My only defence of this shambles of a Gov is that Drakeford and Sturgeon have made things twice as hard by making it political, as have Sage members leaking/speaking to the press undermining everything the gov announce. Sturgeon is determined to make this about independence.

Unless we seriously up it (which Oxford will allow) we won’t, whats the plan? Vaccinate everyone? Are we going to up it to 24/7 jabs, which we could - it doesn’t sound as unrealistic with shift workers/Army etc. It feel like we are just aimlessly drifting

They have known about it since Sept, that is not hindsight - that's poor planning.

What is yours claiming the few people that are not wearing them in public is making the tier changing differences? The vast majority of people are wearing masks and have been since they have been brought in and each step up.

This, The worry is they have known about this strain since Sept and they are still unsure.

I am sorry, but the minimal percentage of people not wearing masks is not affecting numbers - its an easy target for those venting.
