Great stuff from the ladies. I am clearly a Jonah though - not only did one of them get a stick in the face as soon as I turned it on, earlier the first diver I saw in the 3m springboard did a massive belly flop and scored 0.

Golf and Tennis etc should still all be amateur only events I reckon. Loads of amateur golfers etc would bite their arm off to go and have a chance to play at the Olympics.

Was watching the weightlifting last night - we have the Australian commentators here, but the co-commentator was an English woman who sounded just like NSC's Edna! I listen to the Albion Roar, before anyone asks.

Amazing how none of the Chinese Women Gymnasts appear to have reached puberty yet, but are all apparently 16 or over. One is supposedly 19.

Which is fine I suppose but the combination of the blue with the green surround, especially when the sun is bright, makes it rather difficult to see teams that are playing in either blue or green!
