Must admit to being disappointed a few years ago to discover that Christopher Plummer’s version of Edelweiss in ‘The Sound of Music’ (and all his other singing parts) was overdubbed by another chap. Not Milli Vanilli though. Evidently Plummer was livid when he watched the film for the first time!

I’m 47 and knew who he was, but then again, my lovely Dad drilled 50s and 60s music into my ears from birth so I can understand why Vince Hill might not have been on the radar for many. I couldn’t tell you much about popular music after 2005 though! :D
