No one I knew used that rhetoric and I don't remember seeing it in the press. I think we all realise most who were furloughed had no choice but giving people who did work all the way through an extra thankyou payment seems reasonable. Hope you find a new job soon.
Lots of alcohol fuelled faux outrage on NSC tonight. Anyone going around continously claiming they are an underappreciated "key worker' deserves a bit of teasing.
Meaningless phrase anyway, everyone working and paying taxes is a 'key worker' considering the state of the nations bank balance...
Another sleepless night for me then. Of all the people on here I thought you would be aware of Clampys track record/Walter Mitty claims.

The point is the Government are enacting policies the opposition thought might be a good idea and might well be inevitable a few days later but they are now criticising the government for doing the what they called for a few days earlier.
Good point HWt .. Starmer currently attacking Boris for cancelling Christmas a policy he called for a few days earlier ..
Millions will be heartbroken by change of plans - Labour leader
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer says "millions of families will be heartbroken by having Christmas plans...
To be fair if the media were running the country/world we would all be in Tier 1 (at worst) or the pandemic would already be over and we would be out in Xmas markets looking forward to our winter hols on the slopes ...
