True, I still haven't got used to watching a long pass brought under instant control and the player then running with the ball at the defence (particularly Mitoma) I still have in my head as I watch that the ball is going to bounce a few yards in front of the player as he tries to control it...

For large portions of the game it sounded like we were the home team, fantastic support but f*** me we were good for 80 mins!

No idea if it’s the one but a Chelsea player definitely used his hand to flick the ball away from the Brighton player he was tussling with (Pervis?). Not sure VAR even looked at it. On the replay it looked another nailed on one waved away :angry: In the end it didn’t matter but grrr

Given the level of scrutiny likely on officials and VAR today, are we going to see a very picky ref who blows for everything or one who plays the advantage and tries to keep the game flowing? I bet this is a game that very few refs would choose to oversee. lots of pressure. Shame Mike Dean has...
