I have a mate with a Qashqai, it costs him a bloody fortune to run and fails it’s MOT on something expensive every year. Seems to have premium parts prices on a car I wouldn’t call premium too :shrug:
I think he’s still on his original clutch at 80k plus miles though.
Given the mileage and assuming you don’t spend half your driving time riding the clutch, or at track days, I’d appeal to the manufacturer that 20k miles and just a couple of weeks out of warranty is unacceptable for a clutch to fail. Even if they don’t pay in full they should make a contribution...
