I have seen nothing to suggest we’ll pay over the odds or even the going rate to avoid relegation. We are on a wing and a prayer and gambling big time. I will be absolutely astounded and delighted if we bring in ANY proven quality players before the window closes.

We weren’t even plucky losers for most of last season we just kept losing.. Out thought and outplayed in nearly every game I doubt I’ll feel worse about losing this season, even if we keep losing :shrug: Time will tell

We won’t even pay the going rates, what makes you think we’ll be paying over the odds in January?

There’s losing and there’s losing. I doubt it will feel as bad to me if we get over halfway line a few times. I really don’t expect anything but a season long struggle but not with 10 men behind the ball every game and no ambition to attack with more than a couple of players over the halfway line.

Whoever we sign will be a punt rather than proven and having left it so late, it seems clear to me that we are really struggling to attract the quality of player required, either because they don’t want to come here, or more likely because we won’t pay the going rate. I understand and accept it...

Have you not heard how hard and depressing transfer windows are? We are doing our best, luckily we have managed to offload one of our best players, who is also a bit of a liabilty, as part of the process and will continue to try against a background of hard to comprehend challenges. Good...

Dullest window ever but I refuse to believe that we will not be signing some quality players before the window shuts. We will quite possibly squeeze them through the window as it’s shutting though.
