They did indeed, how could I have forgotten that. Two signings who may or may not work out then but as they finished last season so badly I imagine they need to do quite a bit more than that to be challenging for the top four, which is surely going to be the expectation?

Unless Maguire is pushing for a move he’d do well to hang around until January. Leicester have the potential to do better than United this season imo. OGS is a car crash in waiting and they have only signed a Swansea winger so far this season?

To play Champion’s League he’ll need to join someone other than Arsenal or Leicester though.

I think maybe we should try and sign at least one, a forward is apparently completely out of reach. Maybe a midfielder, or is that too much to expect as well?

Some very wishful thinking there. What else could make you think we will finish above a club with a proven manager, who already have better players than us and are strengthening by buying some more individuals who may well cost more than our entire budget.

True but if Dunk goes it would hit us but we do have cover, even if not as good. If Zaha goes Palace are royally ****ed. If they make him stay they may still be ****ed if he gets a sulk on though.

This “budget” has to be a smokescreen by Arsenal to try and get players at a knock down rate surely? No way can they only go to 45 million in this window. Quite clever.

I think that Dunk will thrive is a more attacking set up. He has plenty of skill on the ball, can score with his head and can lay off a great ball. Who is to say that he’s not really enthusiastic about playing for a team that look like they may attack much more this season, Local lad so my gut...
