    I’d like to think that I wouldn’t arrange something really expensive that I had no means to pay for and probably didn’t intend to pay for and then expect the person who provided the goods/service to foot the bill.

    Never surprised how low some people stoop, there are some right shitheads out there. I imagine, being in business, you are almost certainly going to have to write this debt off (unless you are willing to spend time and money chasing a bad debt) bar £1 a month, which is an insult in itself from CAP.
