Nothing beats watching your kids playing sport. We spent most weekends travelling around the South Coast watching our son play mini rugby and then all the way through school rugby to county representation and on to England trials, where he missed out to Joe Worsley. Fantastic times.

Whereas Pétanque/Boules is a great game to play and to watch and there are some young French kids who are really good at it. Watching old French guys playing, especially when they “tir” a boule close to the jack (cochonette) is good entertainment. Much more fun than cricket imo.

Excuse for a leisurely piss up imo :shrug: I played cricket at school and batting, bowling or wicket keeping was OK the rest of it was mind bogglingy boring, watching it is even worse :shrug:
