It matters not, same result whether he did it or not. If you're unlucky enough to suffer at the hands of a shit steward your club will ban you. Black and white.
And there you have it. Those that think a 5 game ban is nothing and that anyone that suffers this deserves it will realise and wake up at some point. Too late by then probably though.
It really isn't. Think it through - 5 home games - Ok, would really piss you off and would be a major issue if that included a vital game, play off or eurpean night for example. Then the 5 away games - those ejected from away games being those that go to away games, they are the ones that...
You are correct, none of us are really safe from that happening. If you are unlucky enough to be ejected from an away ground, and the reason for that could be extremely trivial, then you will be banned. You are wholly in the hands of the away stewards and what they consider to be acceptable or...
Jesus, that's depressing. I might consider starting a self help group if others come forward. I am left wondering where the wanker sign, flicking the V's or use of the middle finger sit on the scale of antisocial behaviour and potential bans. I'd hope that the vulvas would have that detailed...
Which he said he didn't do? Which is where the evidence bit comes in. If he did then I've little sympathy either
Anyway, time for a bit of whataboutery - I had a little look on the parking threads earlier. "I got a ticket, its outrageous, yes there was a sign but I didnt see it etc etc etc"...
Agree with all that bar the last sentence - some empathy would be good to see. We don't always behave perfectly, I dont anyway, and it could be you or I next.
Compassion, consideration, understanding, context etc. Good start anyway. Don't condone beer luzzing but feel very sorry for this victim of the punishment
All about the away club stewarding is the issue. If they decide to chuck you out, albion hand out bans. Doesn't matter what led up to it
It's a shame but as a dull fella called Graham said, it is what it is. We don't have to like or support it though.
Sadly familiar. Quite a few years ago I had the following at an away game:-
- drinking before game
- arrive at ground singing within a group
- told to calm down or not going in
- one nil down, responded to taunts by flicking the v at home support
- chucked out, didn't resist but did ask why...
Nice bit of creative writing in the last para, but yes I have experienced barbers monochrome approach to life. Yes, it does have an influence, as all first hand experiences do.
Not what I have read on this (though I've no idea about the truth of anyones statements of course). There's always an option re treatment of your support, depending on the situation. Some clubs find a victim and chuck them out as an example to others (Forest a big advocate of that), stewards...
