So. I did ask why this issue had not happened elsewhere and it would seem the answer is simple, the operators of Gatwick had not bothered to make the investment. Seems there isn’t any requirement from the authorities either. Beggars belief.
This doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. If you were wrongly arrested, but had a cast-iron alibi, you’d immediately tell the police yourself who the alibis were.
This answers one of my questions from yesterday...as I thought it odd this had not happened until now. Obviously other airports are much better prepared.
I share some of your thoughts. I will be interested to know what laws and controls etc are in place in other countries and major airports. Could a drone do this in NYC? And why has it taken so long for someone to do this? Drones have been around for a long time now
