We can agree on our time at school being fun. Like you I loved it and get frustrated when people criticise the school.
I went to one 6th form Xmas disco but that was it. I used to go to The Arc a lot though. We also went to The Ship as a friend was friendly with a young bar maid in there. But when I went to Lewes my partying was mainly based there, Brighton and select Sussex villages where I’d made new friends...
Excuse my ignorance...but is he/she/bot doing this for any commercial gain? Or is it just some weird creepy fetish? To me, it all seems rather odd and I don’t understand it.

I remember messing about in the fort tunnels as well; one of them ended with an opening half way up the cliff. I recall some had paintings/murals in them. I spent most summer holidays on the West or East side beaches.

‘79 until ‘85. Like you I gave the sixth form a go for one year but decided I wanted a move and and did my A’s at Lewes Tech. I liked the school, have very fond memories of my time there and of my days in Newhaven in general.
I don’t think it was Mrs Ost, I believe it was the female music teacher who’s name escapes me...albeit a few years after I left. I remember Shorthouse, or Death Breath as we called him due to his coffee scented breath. Saxby was Head when I was there as well
