It's sounds and looks like that North Laine brew pub. I've just looked up their website. They have a nice beer list but the rest of it comes across as towny and wanky.

On the new pub theme what's The Albion in Hove like after its refurb? Did they keep the lovely old frontage?

They pulled the plug on The Gehry project...that made a huge difference.

Bardsleys is on Baker Street....there's a 3rd positive and we've not even moved on from one street.

I don't disagree traffic and parking is a mess in Brighton. The city needs to seriously reduce the number of cars and add a tram system imho. It will never happen though.

The city isn't on the decline. But, I do feel it has a lot of untapped potential. But it depends which direction people want the city to take.

I'd say there's a very clear 3rd group developing. And that's geezers wanting to get shitted on strong premium beer. I was in Brewdog Brighton after the Brizzle game and it was very pleasant. Then a huge group of geezers came in repeatedly buying large rounds of pints of Punk IPA and getting...

The craft pubs are now dividing into two. Those that know their stuff and those jumping on the band wagon and know bugger all. And some of the punters Brewdog now attracts leave a lot to be desired as well; I think they need to be careful or they'll lose a lot of goodwill.
