    Berlin Christmas Markets

Thanks mate. Me and the missus are both safe a well. And as a few people know my father and brother were over visiting Xmas markets today. They both landed safely in Gatwick a short while ago. Love and peace to the families of those affected. Depressing.

    Berlin Christmas Markets

Went to Gendarmenmarkt Xmas market yesterday. Was very very busy at 6pm with a long, but quickly moving, queue. Was very nice and I then had a couple of beers and a pork knuckle over the road at Augustiner. Here's some snaps.

This one is a bit different http://www.holyheimat.com There’s certainly no shortage of Christmas markets in Germany’s capital. For the famous classic ones, head to Gendarmenmarkt, Alexanderplatz or Charlottenburg Palace. But why not try something a little different this winter too? “Holy...

A word of warning. This bar often (lazily) pastes the entire Sky schedule on their website but when you turn up you'll find it's just the Prem games they're showing. If they have a pub full of Chelsea/Arsenal/Man U fans they will not show anything else. Best to check before hand. I've never had...

I know the city well  The options are very limited to non-existent. You will only find English football in ex-pat pubs and even then the Premier League takes priority. The Oscar Wilde on Friedrichstrasse in Mitte has shown our play-off games in the past but these are only shown on their...

Cologne is lovely. My favourite piece of art is Gerhard Richter's Dom window; I can sit and stare at it for ages.

A cab will be around 40-50 euros max and take around 30-40 mins max. The rail from Shonefeld is a 10 minute walk away and around 30 mins on the express train. You'll also need an u-bahn for one or two stops when you get to Friedrichstrasse. But it's only €3.60. If you're only here for a couple...

    Berlin Christmas Markets

I think they open literally a month before Xmas. You might be a week too early. As a fellow Brewdog fanboy/equity punk I can tell you Brewdog Berlin is aiming to open at the end of October. I poked my head in the door last week and spoke to the manager who said they're shooting for this...

Given the varied nature of ISIS attacks you'd have to rule out a lot of activities though: gigs, restaurants, football, beach holidays, train travel, strolling on a prom, airports, flying etc etc.

    Berlin Christmas Markets

This, and primarily just an initial meeting point for me. A few beers, food and some fun in a nice atmosphere whilst meeting up with others and then heading off somwhere else.

    1) Yes I have been to a few both trad and non-trad. 2) You're confusing the Potsdam with Potdamer Platz I think. The latter is very central. 3) The best traditional one in my opinion is as Gendarmenmarkt.
