True. But what car, say driven 50 miles to work, would cost you 5k a year? Surely it would have to be quite an expensive set of wheels so Im not sure this is a reasonable comparison? A decent 10k car would not cost you anywhere near 5k a year.
Agree. The turning point in my case was when after about 3 months of messing me around they returned my package containing a signed letter detailing the issue, my tickets, car hire documentation along with an official form for me to complete. The form asked for my name, address, details...
We will see. When confronted with a similar situation when stuck in London Vic due to snow a few years back out of frustration I took the decision to hire a car. After a series of phone calls and letters Southern refunded me the cost of the car hire in full which was just over £200.
I paid cash and still have the tickets but I don't have a receipt; do they give receipts for cash purchases or is the ticket the receipt? I am back in Germany now so I presume I can do this via the post? I will look this up on their website.
I have a question for you. I need to get a refund on my Xmas eve ticket. The London-Gatwick ticket is for use on Southern or FCC. Which company do I approach for a refund? The Gatwick-Brighton leg is FCC only. I'm taking a guess that this latter ticket is FCC? Both tickets were purchased at Gatwick.
