Anyone else think the girls may not have been 'forced' into cocaine trafficking in Peru?

Interesting you mention the Vietnamese. I was only reading last week about the human trafficking and slave-like environments of these set ups in Europe. Anyway. I'm out. Got things to do. For the record I'm not anti-drugs, and in a lot of respects we're in agreement. It's more I find your...

You're missing my point. Apologies if I was not clear. My point is that you seem quite happy to perpetuate and support the illegal drug industry and drug trade in your specific situation. But are very hostile in this thread. I'm struggling to see a huge difference between what you openly support...

You also have to remember that cetain people prey on the vulnerable. You can draw an analogy with old people being tricked out of their life savings. I can never understand how people can be so dim as to hand over their life's money but they do...and they do it regularly. There's been some...

I do have a sense that you're being selective i.e. one drug industry is fine, another is not. And crack maybe does cause serious social and physical damage. But you have chosen the most potent form of what they were carrying for your argument. I could say the same about skunk. Your harshness on...

I'm not for one minute suggesting they thought the parcels were presents for someone's gran. My point is they did not know what was in them, could have been coke, heroin, guns, explosives whatever. An educated guess would suggest drugs or guns but I'm simply stating than unless they were told...

Anyone else think the girls may not have been 'forced' into cocaine trafficking in Peru?

Sure. But it's still guess work on their part unless they have been told. But my point still stands that unless they were told they did not exactly know what was in the parcels. Anyway, if someone's got a gun to your head I think the contents are irrelevant.

I agree with this. In the grand scheme of things what they did was wrong but it's hardly crime of the century as far as I am concerned. There's a lot more out there which is deserving of 5 years than these two. Stupid yes, will they have learn from this yes, evil no, do they deserve locking up no.

If the person with the gun did not tell them what was in the parcel then they would not know.
