    General Election 2015

Yep. I can also read the blatant self justification of a partisan party follower that will justify pretty much anything if it leads to their party having power.

A belated Happy Ed Balls day!! While we have you Mustafa any comment on the fact that UKIP are the only party that seem to be offering direct democracy options. Couldn't see anything from TUSC on it?

Let's scrap democracy and let the land owners decide. That's fair. They know best.

    General Election 2015

When did i do that? I was asked for an illustration of what it might cost. Personally, when there are lots of economists (and Ed Balls) saying that it would cost money then using an illustration based on costing what Labour says it would gain is fair. There are lots more spurious stats...

The "Independent" estimate who produced the figures said that it would bring in £1 billion but also said that it could cost money. If we say that instead of bringing in a billion it cost a billion, that would be £33 per year for every person over 16 (about 30 million of us). Non doms now...

Possibly, but the time when you have very high borrowing already is not the time to do it. I'm all for taking a good long hard look at how we tax people in this country but making a change that will cost the country money purely because it fits into an overall political narrative is not good...

    General Election 2015

So when the hard working family pays over more of their taxes to make up for the tax revenue that Labour have lost out on, the warm and fuzzy feeling of being in a fairer society will make up for not having to go on holiday or getting a better car. I wonder how many people actually think...

Maybe If Clegg is unseated. He has said yday that any party that comes 2nd but forms a government would lack legitimacy.

    General Election 2015

And the Tories have ruled out a deal with UKIP. The Lib Dems have ruled out being involved in any sort of government with the SNP So that means the likely scenarios are labour and SNP confidence and supply Labour and lib dem confidence and supply or maybe coalition Tories, Lib dem and...

And Major thinks the opposite about Labour "After the election, either the Conservative party or Labour will form – or at least lead – the new government. We need a government that can reach out to every part of our country. And Labour can’t do that. I know Labour. I grew up with them. I...

    General Election 2015

They want to scrap Trident They want more funding for Scotland They want to break up the UK They want push spending through the roof Not the devil incarnate but all very good reasons not to want them in a position of influence on the UK government. And when have the Tories "bigged up"...
