I've no idea why: our batting is truly shocking. We're going to bowl a lot of sides out but if we're not going make 200 in our first innings, that will count for nothing.
Garton's batting has improved remarkably; he scored runs pre-season too. He's also seriously quick, if a little wayward. He'd certainly add something to the side but who would he replace? It's not going to be Ollie and they're not likely to drop an overseas player.
I think he'll get his chance...
