I mentioned it earlier but Sussex's attitude absolutely baffles me. A draw was no good, they had to win. I really don't get why they've prepared an absolute belter of a batting track. Better to have gambled for the win and prepared to take the defeat (shakes head sadly)
To be fair to Sussex, they didn't expect Van Zyl to be out for pretty much the whole season (and for Wells and Wright, their two most experienced batters, to have such a miserable year)
I'm a bit baffled as to why Sussex prepared such a good pitch. Our only (slim) hope of promotion was to bowl them out twice - so why did you make a pitch where batters can book themselves in for bed and breakfast?
