Roman god - the Greek god of wine was Dionysus. As others have said, Sussex sparkling wines are top drawer- I love Nyetimber. And there's no reason why they shouldn't be: we have the same soil and climate as the Champagne region. I've had some Sussex whites though and wasn't that keen on them...
