Good question. He must be gutted that Evans is in the team ahead of him. I can understand Finch being given a go, this is his make or break season, but Evans has nothing to justify his place. He's older than Wells, he has a worse batting average and he doesn't bowl. I can't work out why he's in.
Bit unfair on Nash and Brown who both had decent seasons last year and haven't done badly this year. But I agree about Wright, his game seems to have declined since he was made captain. I said last year that Nash should have got it and I feel that even more strongly now.
No. We're better than Leicestershire (even without their points deduction) and Glamorgan - and probably better than Derbyshire. But given our recent history, we should be pushing for promotion.
I read in the Argus that not only are Philander, Wiese and Shahzad injured but Robinson is too (as well as the Goff leaving the field yesterday). How the hell have we got an injury list before the end of the second game? What are the conditioning/medical team doing?
