    It sounds intriguing but that link doesn't work (I note that it's Apple music so it probably only plays on a Mac) but it looks like an album to get. I've been a bit disappointed with his last few efforts, this sounds more like the real thing

    I saw them at Crawley. It was absolute mayhem, they were attacked on stage by a bunch of skins and forced off (I believe Vega had his nose broken).     Been listening to Brian Eno's The Ship for the past few days - it's his first 'proper' album for about 10 years. It's absolutely haunting, just the thing for long walks by deserted beaches. Closes with a glorious cover of I'm Set Free - one of my favourite Velvets' songs It's keeping me going...

    Really like this. Reminds me more of an English Brel/Brassens (especially Brassens). Going to dig out more by this guy, I'd never heard of him. And thanks for all your links and notes, it's a fascinating insight into what's going on in the music world
