Not the greatest wicket though. Highest innings score so far is 201 and only batsmen have passed 50. There's nothing like a good test match wicket ... and this is nothing like a good test match wicket
They both scored more than 1000 runs, so they didn't exactly fail.
I don't see any point even talking about Pietersen: he's given up f/c cricket but if you do want to bring back an old England player, there was one who scored 1000 runs last year and is definitely an opener :)
I have seen him and he's not a great keeper. But then, I don't think Buttler or Bairstow are either. The point is that if you want a better keeper, you don't pick Brown and if you want a batsman/keeper, then you pick Bairstow or Buttler (or Billings)
Yes, it's too late now. But, as I said, I've been saying for years that Read is the man.
He was mentioned the other day. He's nowhere near a good a batsman as Bairstow or Buttler. Possibly a better keeper, but not as good as Read or Forster.
To be fair, after seeing the reply all the commentators on TMS said Hafeez wasn't out and that it was the right decision, can't really agree that cheated is the right word there
Carberry or Compton. It's clearly not Moeen and if Hales isn't good enough to play on flat pitches against a friendly opening attack, he's not going to handle Steyn, Morkel and co.
What's the point of sending in Stokes? We can't win this ... or even draw it. Why risk further injury to Stokes just so the defeat is quite so heavy? Terrible thinking there
Almost inevitable wasn't it? As I said, his ability is in direct proportion to the size of his gob - a worrying combination.
NZ are getting a big pasting than England are ...
There's a fascinating test series just about to start in Brisbane. Think the Kiwis can get some sort of revenge for the World Cup here. The Aussies are missing Clarke and Rogers, with Khawaja having yet another stab at test cricket. The NZ pace attack is pretty impressive too.
The world's most...
