Very well put. Hardness and hardiness are two distinctly separate things.
I'm under no illusions that the noble HB is the most naturally protected creature, because it isn't. What it is, is willing to take on everything else!
Personally I think you're downplaying it a little bit.
I do see your point, though I imagine just as many join the noble HB cause as a result of the Mugabe like shenanigans that tend to take place.
For that response alone, I hope the mouse gets to the final.
Obviously it'll be eviscerated by the HB once there but it'll be one hell of a cup run to get there.
Well said that man.
I fear we'll never see a truly honest WHCC as there's a very real chance the Honey Badger will win it which would upset the established order.
That's right, the HB is both a front-runner and a plucky underdog (underbadger?) at the same time.
So you agree that the Shrimp won through dishonest means? I don't recall the Badger ever doing the same, if it had I don't think it would have lost last year...
Credit where it's due, that was pretty good.
That said, I view the Honey Badger situation as more of a pre-WC winning Spain in that there's been consistent near misses but no final step, despite the obvious ability. Unlike Spain's issues however, the Honey Badger has only really been stopped...
Everyone in their heart of hearts knows it should be a semi-finalist at least each year with at least one title to its name but because it's the obvious front runner it's become the done thing to dismiss it.
Basically, you're all acting like hipsters (following the trend rather than sense) and...
If you reduce a competition merely to who holds the trophy, and not how it's won, you devalue the whole process.
Only one finalist lived up to the integrity of the competition last year and...you know what, sod this, you broke me, the Mantis never should've bloody won and we all know it, it was...
It may be a second place but, morally, the mighty Honeybadger was top of the pile last year.
Sure, it would have won if it had resorted to the underhanded tactics employed by the Shrimp supporters but it rose above.
Hard but fair = Honeybadger.
