So have I.
For a short time I also lived in Seafield Road in one of the top floors and we had a great view of their 'back garden'. It's a deal, it's a steal it's.....
A mate and I also stayed in a pub in Salford for our Man U away game in the first season in the PL that was the only building...
To be fair this is a pretty good boozer, I'd forgotten it was a Spoons.
Rocket is good for pre Fulham but plenty of other good choices round there. Makes sense price wise though.
As previously said the Gatwick North Terminal one does a very passable job before a flight.
It’s Carling with a made up Madrid back story.
Not in many of the pubs I use down here. However, the worst pint of beer I’ve ever had was a Madri in that Premier Inn in Wolverhampton they laughably use as the away pub.
Luckily this season there wasn’t a train strike so we drank in Birmingham...
That’s one hell of an assumption.
The Spoons at Gatwick is my go to before a flight. We sometimes find ourselves in ones before football. Go away with a mixed age group so always good to go with the lowest budget. Worked in Baker St for a while so used the Metropolitan from time to time for...
It doesn’t. I was answering the idiotic generalisation made by @GT49er
I’ll absolutely guarantee the beer is better in both my locals than any Spoons in the country however. Most don’t keep it very well.
It’s lovely. We’ve both got cockapoos too, Very Hove.
*strokes beard*
To be fair my pub owing knowledge skills are ace. I also know Spoons is owned by a Brexiteer back to front.
I know exactly who owns my two locals and I’ve talked to them behind the bar. Not a corporate share in sight.
When I’m further into Hove I sometimes have a pint in The Watchmakers whose owners live round the corner from me. We often meet them on dog walks.
Strange area for boozers that was at one time. The Spoons was grim, Slug and Lettuce was grim, Seafield was a home for retired criminals. Literally.
Have the replacements been any better, does anyone know?
